Calculation method

Emitter count and nominal discharge determine total flow. Sectoring divides simultaneous demand; daily water volume divided by sector flow determines runtime.

Formulas used

  • Total flow = plants × emitters/plant × emitter flow
  • Sector flow = total flow / sectors
  • Runtime = required volume / sector flow

1,000 plants with two 4 L/h emitters require 8 m³/h if all operate simultaneously.
